'Charrette' Project Process...

The idea for my rain shelter spanned from playing with a conker on the first site visit, which gave me a starting point of which has carried through my process. Using conkers to create small sketch models was the first steps, and a good way to experiment. It reminded me of my actual first ever assignment in the first year.

Charrette: Rain Shelter...

"When the shelter is sure, the storm is good"....Henri Bosco

The first design project of the year is for the design of a rain shelter, which is to be sited at or near to the stream that runs through Writtle College campus. The rain shelter will sit on the threshold between land and water, and will be able to capture the rain water, hold it, and then release it into the stream. The shelter should be able to accomodate about 4 people maximum. The the appearance and experience of the shelter to the user, should be an overall delight!

Part Deux.....of the greatest story ever told!

This is the beginning of a new era in my life.....the 3rd and final year of my degree (YES!!!), and it is time to start blogging again, partly due to the fact it is essential to my work. It has been a while, so i thought i'd start off with a little pre-introduction to the upcoming stream of blogs which will be clogging this page up. Hopefully this page will now be full of work, and interesting things over the next 8 months or so.....and maybe even longer than that. If your reading this....thanks....and i hope you read on in the future.

ciao..
